Why I Dont Use Travel Credit Cards | BeatTheBush

There is a very good reason why I do not use credit cards more. I mainly use them to fit my lifestyle and not let a great deal dictate my spending habits. The requirement of a travel credit sounds good on the surface but it also has a time limit which may make you spend more in order to use up the credit.

Of course, if you have solid plans to to the required spending and travelling, then it is just fine to sign up for a new card to take advantage of the very good deals. A person needs to evaluate their own spending habits to see if it is in line with the spend requirements. This is compared to needing to meet a spend requirement and making excuses to buy that thing you were thinking of getting anyway. The longer your prolong a purchase the less you spend on average and hence can be bad for your personal finances.
