Transcription: Hi I'm Adam Jusko from CreditCardCatalog.com and today we are talking about the best of the Capital One credit cards. We're going to look at the top three credit cards issued by Capital One.
Number One credit card, our favorite, is the Capital One Quicksilver Rewards Card. This is a card that gives you a 1.5% cash back reward across all your purchases, so you don't need to worry about any special categories or anything changing on you. You're going to get 1.5% cash back on anything you buy. It's a nice simple card for people that don't want to think too much about how they're using their card, just getting a generous reward. You can get a nice bonus with this card as well. Assuming you spend at least five hundred dollars in the first three months of having it, you'll get a 100 dollar bonus. Five hundred dollars is generally a fairly low hurdle for most people so that is something that you can expect that you will probably hit. No annual fee for the Quicksilver Rewards Card. Really nothing more to say about it, it's 1.5% across the board. For people that don't qualify for this card, Capital One does offer a different Quicksilver card called the QuicksilverOne and it is basically the same in terms of the rewards, the 1.5% flat rebate but you're also going to have a $39 annual fee on that. So if your credit isn't quite up to the excellent credit standards that
you might need for the Quicksilver Rewards Card then the QuicksilverOne is another option for you.
The number two Capital One credit card is the Capital One Venture Rewards Card. This is a travel card with a $59 annual fee, though that annual fee is waived for the first year. You get two "miles" per dollar that you spend, and I say "miles" sort of in the air quotes here because they are not
actually miles toward any particular airline or toward any other travel program. They are essentially points that are worth a penny each so it's sort of the equivalent of a two percent cash back credit card. But you can only use those rewards towards the travel that you put on the card, so you essentially can get a two percent discount on the travel that you put on this card. In terms of the bonus, if you spend three thousand dollars with this card in the first three months you can get 40,000 miles, again in the quotes, which is equal to four hundred dollars in travel rewards, so that's a pretty nice bonus. Assuming that you are someone who spends enough, three thousand dollars in in three months is a thousand dollars a month, obviously, and this card in general...
if you're not a fairly big credit card spender it's not going to make sense but if you are it does. Capital One does offer another Venture card, the VentureOne rewards card, which is a no annual fee card every year. It offers a smaller bonus and for us it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The venture rewards card with the two percent, even though you have the $59 annual fee, we're making an assumption that you spend a good amount on your credit card. The other card, if you're not spending as much, it really makes sense more for you to go with something like the Quicksilver Rewards Card or another card that's going to give you a higher cash back rate, since the miles are essentially equivalent to cash back against your travel purchases.
The number three Capital One credit card is the Capital One Premier Dining Rewards Card. This is a card that gives you three percent cash back on restaurant purchases, two percent cash back on groceries, and one percent cash back on everything else you buy. There are no caps, that's an unlimited reward. No annual fee for this card. So if you are someone that dines out a lot this is a card that could really make sense for you. You can earn a bonus $100 if you spend five hundred dollars in the first three months with this card.
And that's it! To recap: our top three Capital One credit cards... number one the Capital One Quicksilver Card, number two the Capital One Venture Rewards Card and number three the Capital One Premier Dining Rewards Card.
